Flash Websites and Banner Design
Engaging Websites and Banner Advertisements
One of the most well-known ways of making websites visually engaging, is through the use or addition of Flash animated content, or Flash video. See here for more on video for websites.
Flash is still very popular on websites and can help to captivate the attention of visitors to your website.
Entire websites can be built using Flash, which means that you can have some pretty fancy content to entertain and sell your brand to your customers. From subtle transitions and graphic effects to fully-interactive content, the Flash file format, swf (pronounced swiff) serves a range of purposes, primarily entertainment-based.
The use of Flash has changed recently as Apple have chosen not to support it on their iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch devices. However, code can be written to detect these devices and replace them with other suitable content, or redirect visitors to non-Flash sites.
So why use Flash then? Well, think of situations where the use of animation, sound or video may be justifiable. Adverts for example; banner ads that go horizontally across sites or skyscraper ads that go vertically along the sides of web pages.
Below are of examples of Flash websites and ads.
